Joomla! does everything it says on the can.
 Sometimes the instructions and documentation have not yet caught up, so it's not easy for Joomla newcomers to get started.
This site is dedicated to filling that gap and helping you. We encourage you to send us articles about problems that you overcame so that others can benefit from knowing just how you solved that problem that seemed like a mountain at the time. New to Joomla dot com is in transition. The site started out as convertional html, all static pages, with a Wordpress weblog thrown in so that experiences could be documented easily. As time has gone by and the developer's expertise with Joomla has grown it became obvious that at some time or other this site would have to migrate to Joomla. That time has now arrived, so you'll find a mixture. We have this Joomla site, plus all the static pages, the old weblog in Wordpress and a clean Joomla installation thrown in for good measure. You can see the clean Joomla installation here, (opens in a new window) it's just what you would expect, a fresh installation of Joomla without any changes. It means that you can look at it and see whether or not you like it enough to put it onto your server and try it out. The cross-over between the two sites is a little messy because they are both on the same server, as this Joomla site progresses we'll remove the problem and put some better links to the static html. |
